Margie is the Events and Publicity Coordinator for The Bookstore. She writes and manages The Bookstore's newsletter, blog and website, and is on the Bookstore's team for the Annual Downtown Glen Ellyn Bookfest. She used to be a litigation attorney in Chicago, but now she would really rather hang out at The Bookstore chatting with fellow book lovers. She especially enjoys literary fiction, and with an undergraduate degree in history, she also likes historical fiction and historical nonfiction. In her spare time, she takes oil painting and writing classes, and loves to visit literary sites and other indie bookstores when she travels.

Margie has recently returned from a year in Paris, where she was inspired to start a Paris art, book and travel blog called American Girls Art Club in Paris ( She is pictured here at Shakespeare & Co. in Paris.
