School Supply Discount – We always offer a 20% discount for books purchased by local schools for use in your classroom.

School Shop and Share Day – Your school selects one Thursday each year (10:00 am – 8:00 pm) and encourages students and their families to shop at Just the Bookstore, Inc. that day and mention the school’s name at checkout. 15% of the sales credited to your school will be awarded in a gift certificate to your librarian/director to purchase books from Just the Bookstore, Inc. for your school.

Student Birthday Club – Your students may participate in a voluntary club that buys books for their school and awards them a gift certificate. Schools collect registration forms and $20 per participating student. The school librarian/director also provides Just the Bookstore, Inc. with a list of desired books by grade level. Registered students are notified by email during their birthday month to stop by Just the Bookstore, Inc. and select a book from the school’s wish list. Summer birthdays are notified in January and February. A bookplate will be placed in the book bearing that student’s name and the name of your school. The school librarian is notified by email of the book’s acquisition. The student brings the book to the school library to initiate registration and circulation. At the time the book is selected, the student also receives a $5 gift certificate to Just the Bookstore, Inc.

Teacher Gift Certificates – What a wonderful way to honor that special teacher in your child’s life. Gift certificates are always available in all denominations. A book is a present you can open again and again!

In-Store Student Showcase – Host a Thursday night showcase of your school’s talented students by featuring musicians, art displays, theater or poetry readings, etc. off-campus in our intimate setting. 15% of all purchases made by your school families on the night of the showcase will be presented to your school in the form of a gift certificate to Just the Bookstore, Inc. A broad selection of your school library’s wish list books will also be available for purchase that night for direct donation to your school.

Fundraising – Is your school staging a performance based upon a book (think Suessical, Flat Stanley, Willy Wonka, the Wizard of Oz)? Contact us to order themed copies of a book at a volume discount for unique director, teacher, and performer gifts. Get the whole cast to autograph a copy for a raffle or special recognition.

TEACHERS

Teacher Appreciation Night – The Bookstore hosts occasional Teacher Appreciation Nights to celebrate local educators. For this night only, in addition to our regular 20% discount on all books and materials purchased for the classroom, educators can also save 20% on purchases for professional development or personal pleasure just by showing us your school identification.

Story Time Fieldtrip – Sign up your class for a short tour of Just the Bookstore, Inc., including a viewing of our safe dating from 1890’s, and listen to a short reading. Each student receives a souvenir bookmark.
